FILE_ID.DIZ Limit/Length

Is there a limit to the number of lines imported from a file_id.diz when
uploading files to Synchronet? It appears the first 21 lines are imported
fine, but the rest are not.

FILE_ID.DIZ consists of 10 lines, each 45 characters long, with no
formatting.

I believe SBBS imposes a 512 byte limitation on the length of any extended
description, no matter where it comes from...

limitation on the length of any extended description, no
matter where it comes from...

Yup. That seems to be right. I just had a look at the routine that reads the
file description and it appears to only read the first 512 bytes.

Yes, I think the total limit is 512 characters.
